  thanks to atlantis and his sources, we are able to examine material from the alleged "faithful slave" which is intended only for the eyes of the shepherds wolves in the congregation.. information needed for visit of circuit overseer .

  all congregation accounts records covering the period since the last visit, which would include any bankbook being used and the records for any additional accounts being kept by the congregation.

  (do you have excess money which should have been given to us?).

  Sex before marriage

  what is your opinion regarding sex before marriage, has your view been influenced since you left?

  in western society, you’ll probably find yourself ridiculed to be an 18 year old virgin so i am curious to hear opinions from here.

  ok--well the man i referred toobviously took legal advice--it was a serious allegation after all.

  now--heres the twist. the court would probably find in favour of the accuser--and he would get a lengthy prison sentence.

  his lawyer advised him to plead guilty--and save a lot of time and stress all round--and receive a reduced sentence in return.

  this he did. he was released from prison within 3 years.

  i talked to him after his release--he went back to his old job. none of us believed he actually did it--the accuser was being malicious and vindictive.

  which begs the questions:

  was he innocent ?

  was he guilty ?

  did he plead guilty--knowing he was--to get a shorter sentence

  or did he plead guilty--knowing he was innocent--but also knowing the balance of probability would find in favour of the woman--and he decided to play the odds?

  and finally--what would you have done in his position ?

  the above really happened--i worked in the place 3 years--and his name was Mike.

  a major problem with this issue in the UK is people who claim they were abused as children--by well known public figures--politicians--actors--entertainers etc. it can destroy such a persons life--career--reputation etc. even before the court case.

  in the really controversial cases--there are NO "2 witnesses"--just an allegation from one person against another..and who's story do the courts believe ?

  i knew of one case--although he was in no way famous.

  this was 25 years ago the man accused was the care taker of an industrial complex. he and his wife had previously been foster parents to several kids. one of the kids--a girl--after a few years alleged the man had abused her whist she lived in his house

  he denied it

  who do you believe ?

  i have long collected the older books and magazines that show the jws crazy cult history.

  they used to be very cheap and i have had people just give me books.

  but now it seems the older stuff that shows the crazy cult history is really going up in price.

  i must have dumped a small fortune in old watchtower rubbish when i cleared my old dads house out.

  why anyone would any of it--for free--beats me. even the watchtower wouldnt want it.

  last saturday morning, i answered a knock at my door to see a man standing next to a young boy who handed me a pamphlet posing the question, "how do you view the bible?

  would you say it is (1) a book of human wisdom?

  (2) a book of myths and legends?

  Baptised 52 years today!

  january 29th - my baptism date.

  can you remember how you felt at your baptism?.

  i got baptised because my dad kept frightening me.

  i was 14. i attended meetings with my mum. she was baptised before.

  my dad had been having a study--and said he was getting baptised at the local assembly. i knew some of the kids my age in the congregation were getting baptised as well. so i thought it would be cool if i was too--to be with dad .

  one of the kids getting dipped told me i would be asked 2 questions--and i had to shout out--no.

  this was 56 years ago.

  Just peeking in for a bit...

  i rather apprehensively would like to say hello.. i've been raised somewhat in the truth,one of my parents is rather rather strong in the beliefs but could honestly be considered pomi with how active they are and their side of the family comes from a line of witnesses, the other parent was but faded a long time ago.

  as such i was taught quite a bit of jw teachings between family and off and on again bible studies.

  recently i had a serious emotional break down over a few months after said pomi parent had advised me that they would not attend my wedding should that day come (i also had recieved a text from my bible teacher i hadnt heard from in a year or two giving a scripture) and it sorta all sank on me that my activity over the last few years was not really jw material.

  dont worry about it--the GB are definitely Jehovah's sole channel of communication with mankind...so it must be right.
